Motorola is set to launch its Motorola Edge S smartphone on January 26. The main highlight of this phone is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Today, the General Manager of Lenovo Mobile China revealed the AnTuTu benchmark score of the Motorola Edge S. This is the first benchmark for a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 870.
The Motorola Edge S has scored 679860 points, which is higher than the Snapdragon 865+ (the ASUS ROG Phone 3 with this chip scores about 620,000 points). The Snapdragon 870 has a 0.1GHz higher frequency on its Cortex-A77 cores than the Snapdragon 865+.
The general manager also stated: Benchmark scores do not fully equate to everyday usage scenarios. No matter how high the score is, it only represents hardware performance. Only with software support can everyone enjoy a smooth experience. A practical, convenient, and comfortable user experience is the most important. I am confident in the hardware and software capabilities of the Edge S.’
The Motorola Edge S features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ dual-punch-hole display. The back of the phone will feature a 64MP main camera. On the front, there are dual 16MP cameras. The phone will come with a 5000 mAh battery.
