OnePlus has announced that it will launch the OnePlus 9 series on March 24. As the launch event approaches, the company has revealed the phone’s key highlights.
Today, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will feature the Sony IMX766 lens, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. This lens uses a freeform design paired with a 50MP sensor to deliver ultra-clear wide-angle imaging.
According to previous reports, the OnePlus 9 series will feature AMOLED displays, with the OnePlus 9 Pro having a QHD+ screen and the OnePlus 9 using a Full HD+ screen. Both phones support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The OnePlus 9 series smartphones have been confirmed to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. This chipset features a Cortex-X1 super core, which significantly enhances performance.
Some leaks also suggest that the OnePlus 9 Pro will feature a quad rear camera setup, including a 48MP Sony IMX789 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The OnePlus 9 will lack the 8MP telephoto lens.
Both phones are expected to have a 4500mAh battery and support 65W fast charging. It is reported that they also come with a charger.
