Today, the blogger Digital Chat Station revealed all the renders and specifications of the Redmi 9.
According to the blogger, the Redmi 9 has a 6.53-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch and a Full-HD+ resolution. The display also has an average-sized chin at the bottom. The material on the back seems like regular plastic.
On the right, it has a power button with volume up and down buttons. At the bottom, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port, which might support fast charging. It also has an infrared hole for controlling electronic equipment.
The phone is powered by the Helio G80 chipset, an octa-core chip based on 12nm production. It has two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. The Redmi 9 has a 5020mAh built-in battery. The phone supports only 4G and has a lower network connection.
The phone has a single 8MP front camera in the waterdrop notch. On the back, there is a quad-camera module, including a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 5MP depth lens, and a 2MP telephoto lens. The first three cameras are arranged vertically in the center of the phone with a fingerprint scanner under them. The fourth camera is placed a little to the right with an LED flash.
According to some leaks, the phone will be available in two variants: 3+32GB for $139.99 and 4+64GB for $149.99. It will also be available in Green, Purple, and Black-Grey.
The Redmi 9 will be an entry-level 4G device with a Helio G80 chipset. Redmi has not yet announced the phone, but it is expected to be launched this month. Redmi has already launched the Redmi Note 9 series, so the launch of the Redmi 9 is expected soon.
