Today, Digital Chat Station revealed all the renders and specifications of the Redmi 9.
According to the blogger, the Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch and Full HD resolution. The bottom of the screen has a medium-sized bezel. The back of the body appears to be made of plastic.
On the right, it has a power button and a volume button. At the bottom, it also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port, which may support fast charging. In addition, there is an infrared hole for controlling electronic devices.
The device is powered by the Helio G80 chipset, an octa-core processor built with a 12nm process, including two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. The Redmi 9 features a 5020mAh built-in battery and supports only 4G network connectivity.
The phone is equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera located in the waterdrop-shaped notch. The back of the phone features a quad-camera module, including a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP telephoto lens. The first three cameras are vertically aligned in the center of the phone, with a fingerprint sensor located below. The fourth camera is slightly offset to the right and features an LED flash.
According to some leaks, the phone will be available in two variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM for $139.99 and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM for $149.99. It will also be available in Green, Purple, and Black-Grey.
The Redmi 9 will be an entry-level 4G device with a Helio G80 chipset. Redmi has not yet announced the phone, but it is expected to be launched this month. Redmi has already launched the Redmi Note 9 series, so the launch of the Redmi 9 is expected soon.
