Lu Weibing announced that Redmi will launch the K40 series next month and revealed that the series will feature a flat screen, with the screen price potentially being the highest in the industry.
It is reported that the Redmi K40 series will still launch both high-end and low-end versions this time, namely the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro.
This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed that both variants feature an OLED screen and use Samsung’s latest E4 flexible display.
The Xiaomi 11 also uses a Samsung E4 OLED screen. The Samsung E4 luminous material can significantly increase screen brightness to an unprecedented 1500 nits, with a peak brightness of 900 nits. The contrast is further optimized, and power consumption is lower than that of the E3 material.
The Xiaomi 11 screen made with this new material also received a DisplayMate A+ rating. It broke 13 records, including highest resolution, highest OLED peak brightness, highest color accuracy, highest contrast, and lowest screen reflectance.
In addition, the Redmi K40 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 888 chipset, while the K40 will feature the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Compared to the Snapdragon 865 Plus, the Snapdragon 870 offers improved performance, with Antutu scores already surpassing those of the Snapdragon 865 Plus.
