According to previous news, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series will only support 25W fast charging, while the Samsung S20 Ultra supports up to 45W fast charging. Therefore, many users expect the S21 to support faster charging speeds.
Today, a Samsung 65W charger was revealed on a Chinese second-hand trading app. The charger model is Samsung TA-865, and the product description shows that it is compatible with Samsung S20, Note 20 Ultra, Fold, and other phones, and that it features a USB-C port. It supports four charging modes: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/3.25A.
This charger has been certified by South Korean institutions before, but it is unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S21 series will support this charger.
A leaker said that Samsung is considering making the S21 series support 65W fast charging, but the final plan has changed. This may mean we have to wait until the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 is released before we see a smartphone that supports this charger. In theory, this charger could fully charge the phone in just 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S21+ is expected to feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the S21 Ultra will come with a 6.9-inch 2K display. The S21 series may use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 SoC, supporting up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The Samsung S21 series will be officially released on January 14.
