The Galaxy Note 20 series is set to be launched on 5 August. Several devices are expected to be launched at the same event. However, some devices, such as the Galaxy Tab S7 series and Galaxy Fold series, are scheduled to be launched on August 22.
We recently received some leaked information suggesting that Samsung might launch another product at the Galaxy Note 20 launch event. The product is the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 (possibly named Buds X), which has been approved by the FCC today. Its model numbers are SM-R180R and SM-R180L, and the first ‘R’ in the model number hints that this might be a new Galaxy Buds. The certification documents also indicate that the device is a Bluetooth headset equipped with a DTS digital transmission system.
The FCC certification documents reveal almost no information about the product except for its model number. Other reports indicate that the product is being tested with Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones. Samsung is likely to name it Galaxy Buds X, as this name has already appeared in Samsung’s official wearable device app.
Currently, Samsung is expected to launch this product at the upcoming UNPACKED event or maybe at another launch event (expected on 22 August).
