Yesterday, we reported that the Honor 50 will feature an SM7325 chipset. Previous reports claimed that it might be the Snapdragon 775 or Snapdragon 775G, but the latest reports suggest something new.
Digital Chat Station revealed that the SM7325 chipset will be named Snapdragon 778G and is expected to be used in the Honor 50.
The blogger also stated that the Snapdragon 778G will be manufactured using a 6nm process and feature Cortex-A78 semi-custom (Kryo 670) cores. Its GPU will be the Adreno 642L, which seems to be a lower-end version of the Adreno 642.
This chipset also features the Snapdragon X53 5G modem. It comes with a Qualcomm Spectra 570L image signal processor (ISP), which appears to be a lower-end version of the Spectra 570.
This chipset also features the FastConnect 6700 subsystem, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and offers Quick Charge 5 fast charging up to 100W.
The chipset is expected to debut with the Honor 50 Series, which is expected to launch in June 2021.
