In the past few days, we saw that Vivo’s upcoming S18 series was revealed. Until now, the company didn’t make any official announcement. However, this query is also now solved as Vivo has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming Vivo S18 series.
This morning,Vivo (on Weibo) has officially announced that the all-new Vivo S18 lineup will be launched on December 14 at 7 PM (as per Chinese Timing). In addition to this, the official poster also revealed the camera design layout of the Vivo S18 Pro.
It can be seen that the Pro model adopts a triple camera setup in a square-shaped module. Under the camera module, there is a bump for a ring-shaped LED Flash. A few moments after the official announcement, the General Manager of Vivo also revealed the specifications of the Vivo S18 series.
As per General Manager, the Vivo S18 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, the overclocked variant of the standard Dimensity 9200. Moreover, this model has scored more than 1.6 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark as well denoting that the performance factor would be great on Vivo S18 Pro.
In terms of camera, this model will feature the same 50MP Sony IMX920 lens that is used in the Vivo X100, a 50MP Ultra-Wide lens, and the same telephoto lens that was used in the Vivo X90s. In the front-facing camera section, the officials have used a dual camera setup including a 50MP wide-angle lens.
Then we have the standard model, the standard Vivo S18 will be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 7 Gen3 chipset that was recently announced in November 2023. The chipset belongs to the premium mid-range segment and has also scored more than 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

In the end, the General Manager also mentioned that the Vivo S18 series would feature a 120Hz display and 5000mAh battery. It is also reported that these models would be the thinnest models of 2023 that feature more than 5000mAh battery.
In the coming days, it is expected that Vivo will officially tease more highlights of its Vivo S18 series.
