Vivo Tablet Will Feature Snapdragon 870 SoC, 120Hz Refresh Rate, 44W Charging and Many More

For a long time, it was rumored that Vivo was working on its first-ever tablet, but there was no official leak or any info until now. However, the company’s VP confirmed that the company would unveil its first-ever tablet in the first half of 2022, and now it also seems that the launch is very near.

Recently, a well-known Chinese blogger and major news source @DigitalChatStation (on Weibo) has revealed that the Vivo tablet wouldn’t be positioned at the flagship level. It would be a sub-flagship category tablet or something lower.

The blogger also mentioned that the tablet would be powered by the latest Snapdragon 870 sub-flagship chipset, just an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865 series. It seems that the device is a little behind in performance as the chipset is now getting almost a year old.

Using a chipset like Snapdragon 888 or Dimensity 1200 would be a better option there. However, the Snapdragon 870 still has a decent performance in multi-tasking.

In addition to the chipset, the tablet also features a 120Hz display with minimal bezels, plus the front camera would be placed in the top bezel. In terms of internals, the tablet also features a 7860mAh battery (typical value, the standard value is 8000+mAh) and supports a decent 44W quick charging.

Previously, the tablet’s appearance also got revealed through the filed patent of the company. It showed that Vivo’s first-ever tablet would feature the company’s signature camera module design.

It is currently confirmed that the new Vivo tablet would be launched before the first half of 2022 and the expected price is around 2K yuan (roughly $315).
