This evening, a new device with model number 2210132C was listed on the 3C certification. According to the IMEI database, the device belongs to the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Pro, which will support 120W fast charging.
The certification also revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will use two different chargers with different model numbers: MDY-14-ED and MDY-12-ED. However, both chargers support a maximum of 120W charging at 20V/6A.
It is also worth mentioning that consumers will need to purchase this charger separately, as Xiaomi has removed it from the smartphone’s retail box.
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is expected to be announced at the Qualcomm 2022 Summit in November. The Xiaomi 13 series will be one of the first devices to come with this chipset.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor. It will have eight cores, including one Cortex-X2 super core, one Cortex-A720 core, three Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores.
Since the Xiaomi 13 series is already listed on certification sites, we expect it to be released soon (probably within two to three months).
