Today, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station has stated that Xiaomi‘s next foldable phone is on the way and will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
While revealing some basic information about the new foldable smartphone, the blogger said that this new foldable device would feature the under-screen active technology. The folding scheme would be inward-folding. Both internal and external displays will support a high refresh rate.
Xiaomi’s foldable device will also use the Snapdragon 888 (codename: sd8350) chipset, which is the latest and best chipset for Android smartphones currently on the market.
According to previous reports, this foldable phone has already been listed on many certification sites with the code J18s. Its external screen will use Visionox’s display, which supports a 90Hz refresh rate, and the internal screen will use Samsung’s solution, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone’s rear camera uses a triple camera: a 108MP primary camera, a liquid lens (which supports 3x zoom), and an ultra-wide lens. On the front, the display will use an under-screen camera solution.
Xiaomi’s new foldable phone will be an iteration of the Mi Mix, which is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2021.
