Today, Digital Chat Station revealed that Xiaomi’s next foldable phone is on the way and will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
When revealing the basic information about this new foldable smartphone, the blogger stated that the device will use under-display active technology, feature an inward-folding design, and both the inner and outer screens will support high refresh rates.
Xiaomi’s foldable device will also use the Snapdragon 888 (codename: sd8350) chipset, which is the latest and best chipset for Android smartphones currently on the market.
According to previous reports, this foldable phone has appeared on several certification websites under the model number J18s. Its outer screen will use a Visionox display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the inner screen will use a Samsung display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
This phone features a rear triple camera system: a 108MP main camera, a liquid lens (supporting 3x zoom), and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera uses an under-display camera solution.
Xiaomi’s new foldable phone will be an iteration of the Xiaomi MIX, which is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2021.
