ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will Feature Three 64MP Camera Lenses

Yesterday, ZTE made it official that the company is about to launch the new ZTE Axon 40 series in the coming days. However, no specifications or appearance of the device was revealed, but at the same time, it was expected that the official might start to expose the major highlights of the phone, and things went in the same pattern.

This morning, ZTE mobile (on Weibo) officially disclosed the camera specifications of the top version (from the upcoming flagship series). As revealed, the all-new ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will feature a triple camera setup in which all three of them are 64MP lenses but made for different purposes.

The first lens is a customized 64MP Super Ultra-Wide angle lens; however, the officials didn’t mention the angle. The second one is also a customized 64MP lens but a custom portrait camera. At last, we have another 64MP lens, a periscopic telephoto lens, but the officials haven’t mentioned its zooming capability. It is worth noting that the camera module is rectangle-shaped.

The officials also haven’t mentioned the front camera and its specs. However, the previous rumors suggest that the Ultra version will feature the third-generation under-display camera from ZTE.

It is also expected that the top two versions (Pro and Ultra) in Axon 40 series will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagship chipset from Qualcomm. The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and features the all-new Cortex-X2 Super Core, X65 5G modem, and Adreno 730 GPU.
