ZTE Axon M Teardown

After removing the metal shields, we found that some of the chips with higher heat output were covered with thermal conductive materials to improve heat dissipation efficiency. The memory and processor are stacked together using a packaging process, which not only saves motherboard space but also enhances memory response speed.
Chips

The biggest chip on the front of the motherboard is the 128GB flash memory from SanDisk.

Summary
Overall, the ZTE AXON M not only achieves a significant breakthrough in design but also boasts excellent durability. The phone employs strict connector and chip protection designs. However, if the motherboard size could be reduced to free up more space for the battery, it would significantly enhance the phone’s battery life.

Is there a way I can replace my second screen? I found a screen on AliExpress, and my digitizer is still in good condition.
    Thanks for your information.

    1. I’m in the same spot, I think the downgraded version, the $200 one, uses the same second screen. I’m thinking of grabbing one for parts and just replacing it.
