We all know that the Qualcomm Technology Summit will be held at the end of this month, and the first batch of smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset will be announced.
This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed that in 2022, smartphone charging power will reach 150W, and it will be a mass-produced technology.
However, he also mentioned that the earlier filed devices (expected to be released in the first batch) might not feature this technology.
If you don’t care much about 150W fast charging but still want quick performance, we suggest you choose the first batch of smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, if you prefer fast charging, it is recommended to wait for the second batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones for a better experience.
It is worth mentioning that this chipset is manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process. It features eight cores: one Cortex-X2 super large core clocked at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.79 GHz. The chipset will also feature an Adreno 730 GPU.
The Motorola Edge X and Xiaomi 12 are expected to be the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
