150W charging technology will be mass-produced next year, full charging in 10 minutes

We all know that the Qualcomm Technology Summit will be held at the end of this month, and the first batch of smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor will be announced.

This morning, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that in the upcoming year (2022), the charging power of smartphones will reach 150W, and it will be a mass-produced technology.

150W Fast Charging

However, he also mentioned that the earlier filed devices (expected to be released in the first batch) might not feature this technology.

If you don’t care much about 150W fast charging but still want quick performance, we suggest you choose the first batch of smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, if you prefer fast charging, it is recommended to wait for the second batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones for a better experience.

It is worth mentioning that this chipset is based on Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. It features eight cores: one Cortex-X2 super large core at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.79GHz. The chipset will also feature an Adreno 730 GPU.

The Motorola Edge X and Xiaomi 12 are expected to be the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
