We all know that Qualcomm Technology Summit will be held at the end of this month, and after that, the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 powered phones will be released. With this new flagship processor, the battery and fast charging cannot be compromised or lagged.
This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation has revealed that in the upcoming year (2022), the charging power of smartphones (powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen1) will reach 150W, and it would be a mass-produced technology.
However, he also mentioned that the earlier filed models (expected to release in the first batch) might not carry this technology.
If you don’t care a lot about the 150W fast charging but want rapid performance, we recommend you go with the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 powered smartphones. However, if you prefer fast charging, it is recommended to wait for the second batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 phones for a better experience.
It is worth mentioning that this new flagship chipset is based on Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. It features a total of 8 cores: 1x Cortex-X2 Super large core (clocked @3.0GHz), 3x Cortex-A710 Performance cores (clocked @2.5GHz), and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores (clocked @1.79GHz). The chipset would also feature Adreno 730 built-in GPU.
New flagship models like Motorola Edge X and Xiaomi 12 are expected to be released in the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset.
