It was reported that ASUS is working on its upcoming ROG Phone 7 series. Even many models were listed on many certification sites, including the 3C Certification and Geekbench. However, until now, there has been no news regarding the launch of ASUS’s upcoming gaming mobile series.
This afternoon, ASUS has officially announced (on Weibo and Twitter) that the all-new ROG Phone 7 series will be launched on April 13 at 8 PM (as per Chinese Timing). It is worth mentioning that the launch is not limited to China only, but it would be a global launch.
In the official announcement, there is nothing more except the launch time. However, sources reported that the new ROG Phone 7 series would consist of three models: ROG Phone 7 Standard Model, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and ROG Phone 7D (Dimensity Edition). Maybe, the ROG Phone 7D will get launched later, as happened last year.
It is also reported that except the ROG Phone 7D, all the other two models would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X3 Ultra-Core, 2x Cortex-A715 and 2x Cortex-A710 P-Cores, and 3x Cortex-A510 E-Cores.
Previously, the standard ROG Phone 7 also got listed on 3C Certification, revealing that it would be equipped with a 65W charger that ASUS has already provided with its previous model (ROG Phone 6).
Sources also claim that all these models will feature an AMOLED Display. The standard and Dimensity powered models would be available in a maximum 16+256GB storage variant while the Ultimate version would be in 16+512GB.
The specs information regarding the new ASUS ROG Phone 7 is very minimal at the moment.
