A few days ago, it was reported that Mediatek is bringing an all-new series of chipsets, coming on 20th January. Few leaks also confirmed that this new series would consist of two chipsets, named Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200.
Today, the famous blogger @Digital Chat Station has revealed the specifications of the Dimensity 1100 chipset. As per the blogger, the Dimensity 1100 is the lower version of Dimensity 1200, which is clocked at a lower frequency, but it got almost the same specifications as Dimensity 1200 chipset.
As mentioned, the all-new Dimensity 1100 is an octa-core chipset based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It features 4x Cortex-A78 cores + 4x Cortex-A55 Cores. The highest frequency of chipset is 2.6GHz with Cortex-A78 core.
The blogger also stated that it is expected that all the four Cortex-A78 cores may get clocked at 2.6GHz. If it is true, the chipset is very fragrant, as described by the blogger.
It is also known that the chipset would feature ISP support up to 108MP, while the display supports 144Hz refresh rate with Full-HD+ resolution. The higher version (Dimensity 1200/MT6893) would support a 168Hz refresh rate. The chipset Dimensity 1100 also supports UFS 3.1 storage & LPDDR4x memory.
The blogger also revealed that the upcoming Redmi K40 series would also feature an MT689x chipset version. The Redmi K40 series is confirmed to launch with Snapdragon 888 currently.
