Today, at the Huawei Developer Conference 2020, the company revealed many new things, including the new EMUI 11.
The company has revealed three main highlight features of EMUI 11: Art for People, New Always-On-Display, and Immersed-in Art themes. The new EMUI 11 has the following qualities:
- Smooth Motion In One Mirror
- Natural And Comfortable Gesture Navigation
- Multi-sensory co-ordinated Sound And Vibration
- Easy And Suitable For People
- Wisdom Multi-Window
- Multi-Screen Collaborative Keyboard and Mouse Sharing.
The new UX design of EMUI 11 not only brings the above-mentioned features but also introduces a more updated “smart multi-window.” The new software version also brings a unique AudioVisual Touch interactive experience for Dynamic Effects and Multi-Sensory Collaboration. The user’s vision and interaction are much improved, which results in more efficient motion design operations.
The new EMUI 11 fully draws on the distributed technology of Hongmeng 2.0 to realize the interconnection of more different devices. The Multi-Screen collaboration function is also upgraded. The user can also open the multi-window of the smartphone on the computer. The EMUI 11 has added photo-sharing desensitization and privacy memo functions.
The screen sharing feature has also been improved. In the field of AI Functions, the new EMUI 11 also supports AI Subtitle real-time translation. The supported languages are English, Japanese, and Korean.
It is also reported that Huawei has opened the EMUI 11 beta officially for the following models:
- Huawei P40 Series
- Huawei Mate30 Series
- MatePad Pro Series
The Beta version update will soon start rolling out for some models, like the Honor30, V30, and Nova7 series. More than 50 smartphone models will be updated to EMUI 11, with an estimated install capacity of over 200 million units and an expected 90% upgrade rate.
Huawei also said that devices upgraded to EMUI 11 will be prioritized to be upgraded to the HarmonyOS 2.0 as soon as possible.
