This morning, Ice Universe revealed that Samsung is testing increased charging power for the Galaxy S22 series. The charging power may reach 45W or 65W.
It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S21 FE has appeared on the FCC website and supports 45W fast charging. This suggests the S22 series will support even faster charging speeds.
Samsung has been sticking with 25W charging for two years, which seems somewhat outdated, while other brands are striving to make 120W charging a standard feature for smartphones. If the news of higher-power charging is true, it will address a significant shortcoming for Samsung.
Some sources also claimed that different devices would have different charging power. For example, the Galaxy S22 Ultra may support 65W fast charging, while the Galaxy S22 supports 45W fast charging.
According to previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to remain unchanged in appearance, while the total size of the device may be reduced.
In addition, the main camera on the S22 series will use a 108 MP sensor, which is manufactured in collaboration between Samsung and Olympus.
The S22 series is expected to be powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 800 series, which may be named Snapdragon 895. The European, Middle Eastern, and Asian variants will feature an updated Exynos chipset.
