Samsung Galaxy S22+ battery’s live image revealed 4500mAh capacity

The leaks regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series are speeding up. We are now getting new leaks every day. Today, we will focus on another leak related to the Galaxy S22+ battery.

This morning, the Galaxy S22+ battery with model number EB-BS906ABY was certified by SafetyKorea and comes with live images. According to the certification, the phone will feature a 4500mAh, 16.95Wh battery, and its rated capacity is 4370mAh. The S906 in the model number confirms that the battery belongs to the Galaxy S22+.

The live image of the battery has revealed more specifications. The company has reduced the capacity by 300mAh, as last year’s Galaxy S21+ features a 4800mAh battery. Maybe due to the reduced display size, Samsung features a smaller battery on the Galaxy S22 lineup.

According to previous information, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ display sizes will decrease (6.01 and 6.55 inches, respectively), while the size (6.81 inches) of the Galaxy S22 Ultra will remain the same. All devices will feature a 120Hz higher refresh rate.

The Galaxy S22 and S22+ will also feature a new 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with a 1/1.55-inch pixel size and only support 3x optical zoom. At the same time, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a next-generation 108MP camera with 3x periscope and 10x periscope lenses.

The Galaxy S22 series will be available in a Snapdragon 898-powered version. Another version with the Exynos 2200 chipset and AMD GPU will be limited to select regions.

The Galaxy S22 series is expected to be available by the end of December 2021 or early January 2022
