Samsung Galaxy S22+ battery’s live image revealed 4500mAh capacity

Leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series are accelerating. We seem to get new leaks almost every day. Today, we will focus on another leak related to the Galaxy S22+ battery.

This morning, the Galaxy S22+ battery with model number EB-BS906ABY was certified by SafetyKorea and released its live images. According to the certification, the phone will feature a 4500 mAh, 16.95 Wh battery, with a rated capacity of 4370 mAh. The S906 in the model number confirms that the battery belongs to the Galaxy S22+.

The live image of the battery has revealed more specifications. Compared to the 4800mAh battery used in the Galaxy S21, the company has reduced the capacity by 300mAh this time. Perhaps due to the smaller screen size, Samsung has used a smaller capacity battery in the Galaxy S22 series.

According to previous reports, the screen sizes of the S22 and S22+ will be reduced (to 6.01 inches and 6.55 inches, respectively), while the screen size of the S22 Ultra (6.81 inches) will remain unchanged. All devices will support a 120Hz refresh rate.

The S22 and S22+ will also feature a new 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with a 1/1.55-inch pixel size and only support 3x optical zoom. At the same time, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a next-generation 108MP camera.

The Galaxy S22 series will launch a version featuring the Snapdragon 898 chipset. Another version featuring the Exynos 2200 chipset and AMD GPU will be available only in limited regions.

The Galaxy S22 series is expected to be available by the end of December 2021 or early January 2022
