It was previously revealed that Samsung has started working on many of its upcoming flagship devices, including the new Galaxy Z and Galaxy Tab S9 series. In addition to these series, Samsung is working on the next generation of its Galaxy Watch model, the Galaxy Watch 6.
This morning, the famous blogger @Ice Universe (on Weibo) revealed the display specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6 series. As per the blogger, there would be two variants of Galaxy Watch 6: the first would be the 40mm variant, and the second one would be the 44mm variant (same as in the previous model).
The Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant will feature a 1.31 inches rounded display that would support the following resolution: 432×432. Compared with the Watch5 40mm variant, the screen size is increased by 0.11 inches (1.2 inches display with 396×396 resolution in Galaxy Watch5 40mm).
The larger 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a 1.47 inches rounded display that would support the following resolution: 480×480. If compared with Watch5 44mm variant, it has been observed that the screen size is increased by 0.07 inches (1.4 inches display in Galaxy Watch5 44mm with 450×450 resolution).
Previously, both variants of Galaxy Watch 6 were also got listed on the South Korean certification site, which revealed that the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm version would feature a 300mAh battery cell. The larger 44mm variant will have a 425mAh battery cell.
At the moment, the news regarding Samsung’s next-generation watch is minimal. However, it was also reported that the Galaxy Watch 6 would feature a curved screen design, as in Galaxy Watch Active 2. The leading display supplier for this watch lineup would be BOE (Chinese Display Manufacturer)
The new Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to launch alongside the new Galaxy Z models and Galaxy Tab S9 series in the upcoming UNPACKED event that will probably be held in August 2023.
