Vivo X Fold2 Appeared on 3C Certification with 120W Charging

It is expected that Vivo will launch its new foldable flagships (including Vivo X Fold2 and Vivo X Flip) and Vivo Pad2 before the end of this month (April 2023). As the launch time is near, many new leaks and rumors are getting revealed every day. Recently, we got a look at another significant leak.

This morning, a new model from Vivo, with model number: vivo V2266A, got listed on 3C Certification, revealing the charging specifications of Vivo’s all-new foldable flagship.

As mentioned in the certification, the Vivo X Fold2 would be equipped with the Vivo’s 120W flash charger (having the following model numbers: V12060L0A0-CN, V12060L1B0-CN). The charger supports charging at following modes: 10W (5V/2A), 18W (9V/2A), 66W (11V/6A), and 120W (20V/6A).

It is worth mentioning that the new Vivo X Fold2 would be the fastest foldable device in terms of charging in the smartphone industry. Currently, the fastest charging speed in folding smartphones is 80W (i.e., in Vivo X Fold+). In addition to 120W charging, the Vivo X Fold2 is expected to feature a 4800mAh battery.

As per previous info, the Vivo X Fold2 will be equipped with 8 inches Samsung E6 AMOLED primary foldable display that supports 2K Resolution. The primary and cover display will have a 120Hz refresh rate and are fitted with an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

In terms of chipset, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset from Qualcomm has been used on Vivo X Fold2. Based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, the chipset comes with a new 1+4+3 Core architecture and features the Cortex-X3 Super Core (clocked @3.36GHz).

Regarding the camera, the rear camera module consists of three lenses, including Sony IMX866 50MP primary lens and 2x Sony IMX663 12MP lens. Previously, it was also reported that the Vivo X Fold2 would be 10% lighter than its predecessor in weight, and the thickness is also reduced. It is worth noting that previous models, Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+, weights 311g.
