Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 prototype revealed

Samsung is expected to hold an UNPACKED event on July 26. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and some other devices. As the event approaches, more leaks and rumors are revealed.

This morning, Ice Universe revealed images of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 prototype. From the pictures, we can see the front and back appearance of this phone.

The only difference is the position of the LED flash. It is now located to the right of the camera module, rather than below the camera lens as on the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature the same main and cover display sizes as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Both displays are AMOLED panels and support a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

This chipset is manufactured using TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process and has a Cortex-X3 super core, a Snapdragon X70 5G modem, and an Adreno 740 GPU.

The camera setup will also feature a new 12MP telephoto lens, replacing the 10MP lens on the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The other two lenses will be the same (one is a 50MP main lens, and the other is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens). The phone has a 4,400m Ah battery and supports 25W fast charging.

In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Watch 6 at the upcoming UNPACKED event.
