Honor Magic5 Got 3C Certification with 66W Charger

Honor previously announced that the global debut of its all-new Honor Magic5 series would happen on February 27th in the upcoming MWC Barcelona event along with the foldable Honor Magic Vs. As the launch time is coming near, new leaks and rumors regarding Honor’s new lineup are getting revealed.

This morning, a new Honor device surfaced on 3C Certification, carrying model number: PGT-AN00. As per sources, the device belongs to the Honor Magic5 standard version. The certification states that this smartphone will use Honor’s 66W charger having model number: HN-110600C00.

The Honor’s 66W super fast charger supports fast charging at a maximum 66W (11V/6A), then at 40W (10V/4A) and also at a basic 10W (5V/2A). The previous model Magic4 also supports fast charging at the same rate and uses the same charger. Except for this, the 3C Certification hasn’t revealed anything more.

As per revealed information, the new Magic5 lineup will consist of four devices, including the Lite, Standard, Pro, and Ultimate versions. As previously reported, the Lite version will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. However, the rest devices in lineup are expected to use Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is one of the best chipsets you can get from Qualcomm. It is based on the latest 4nm TSMC manufacturing process and adopts an all-new core architecture, including a Cortex-X3 Super Core, 2x Cortex-A715 and 2x Cortex-A710 P-Cores and 3x Cortex-A510 E-Cores.

In terms of design, it is expected that the all-new Honor Magic5 series wouldn’t be that much different. However, the camera design is expected to be more straightforward and attractive. Instead of a black-colored camera module, it will have the same color as the entire body, and the number of lenses will remain at three (in the standard model).

Currently, the news regarding the new Honor Magic5 is minimal. However, the launch will happen at the end of this month.
