It was reported that Honor has started to work on the successor of its X Series, one of the famous and most selling series of Honor brand. As expected, the new Honor X series will be named Honor X20, according to last year’s record. A few days ago, the live image of X20 SE was also revealed.
UPDATE 28/6/2021: The famous blogger once again uploaded the live images of Honor X20 SE in which the appearance of the device can be observed, both from front and back. Furthermore, two more color options have been revealed: Pink-Orange Gradient Color, Green-Black Gradient Color.
Today, the well-known Chinese blogger @Digital Chat Station has disclosed the specifications of an unknown model from Honor. As the blogger said, this new device will lie in the entry-level category. According to our sources, this model is expected to be from the new X20 series and will be named Honor X20 SE.
According to the blogger, the new Honor X20 SE will feature a 6.6 inches IPS LCD Display with a single and centered punch-hole. The display further supports a 90Hz refresh rate which seems fine in a lower-end device. Overall, the phone would have a high screen-to-body ratio design, but the appearance would be like an ordinary entry-level device (as the blogger mentioned).
Moreover, this entry-level Honor’s phone will be powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 chipset, the most lower-end chipset in the Dimensity series. However, it still performs well compared to other series entry-level chipsets like the Helio G series or Helio P series. In addition, it is worth mentioning that this SoC also supports 5G connectivity.
On the rear side, we would have a triple camera setup with a main 64MP lens. The blogger didn’t reveal the battery capacity of this model but mentioned its charging speed, i.e., 22.5W. Many other specifications are still unknown yet. Most likely, the new Honor X20 series is expected to launch next month.
