After the Mate 40 series launch, it is reported that Huawei is now preparing for another new series. This time, it would be the successor of Huawei’s Nova 7 series. This morning, the famous digital blogger @Digital Chat Station has revealed the renders and specifications of Huawei Nova 8 SE.
The all-new Huawei’s Nova 8 SE (Special Edition) will be the successor of Nova 7 SE. According to the blogger, the phone would feature a 6.53-inch OLED display. The display’s resolution will be Full-HD+ (maybe 2460x1080p), while the refresh rate would only be limited to 60Hz.
It seems like the camera may be the same as of previous model “Nova 7 SE”. It will feature a Quad-camera setup (64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP). The phone would feature a 3800mAh battery with the Mate40 series 66W charger. This would be the first mid-range device to support Huawei’s 66W charging. The battery seems to be a downgrade over the previous 4000mAh battery in Nova 7 SE.
The weight and thickness of the phone will be improved this time. The all-new Nova 8 SE will feature a 7.46mm thickness and weighs around 178g (8.6mm thickness and 189 grams weight in Nova 7 SE).
It is expected that the standard version may feature Mediatek’s mid-range chipset inside Dimensity 720, the high-end version will feature the Dimensity 800U. Both the octa-core chipsets are based on the same 7nm production and have a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz.
It is expected that the all-new Nova 8 SE will be launched along with the Nova 8 series at the start or mid of December. The leaks are suggesting that the device is in the development phase currently.
