Very good guide. I managed to replace the battery in my Huawei P10 in about 30 minutes. Removing the old battery is by far the most difficult part. You need to be firm yet gentle. Note that you didn’t mention disconnecting the battery cable from the device, so I kept thinking I’d missed a step!
Thank you for this guide, A++
Where did you purchase the P10 battery? I need to replace my battery because it is getting puffy, and the phone is opening from the right side.
Thanks for this guide. This guide gave me the confidence to replace my phone battery, so I ordered a P10 battery. After receiving the battery, I replaced it successfully. I have seen other guides, but this one just removed the old battery and replaced it without removing any other boards. The only issue was getting the battery out from the sticky tape.
My battery was filled with air inside the pocket. Can it be used for other electronics applications (Arduino, etc.)?
As far as I know, once a Li-Ion battery starts to inflate like that, it degrades internally and is hazardous to use (risk of fire, etc.).
