As Qualcomm’s next generation chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen3) is here, every manufacturer is now trying to launch their new flagship models powered by chipset. A few days ago, we saw that Xiaomi is also launching its Xiaomi 14 series, and now, recently, the iQOO has also made an official announcement regarding its upcoming flagship model.
This morning, iQOO officially announced that the all-new iQOO 12 series will be launched on November 7 at 7 PM (as per Chinese timing). However, in the official announcement, the company hasn’t revealed anything related to the appearance of the device.
In another announcement, the officials also revealed that the iQOO 12 series will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3. The new Snapdragon 8 Gen3 uses TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and is based on Qualcomm Kryo 64-bit architecture (1+5+2).
In terms of cores, it uses the latest 1x Cortex-X4 Super Core (clocked @3.2GHz), 5x Cortex-A720 Performance Cores (3.2GHz highest frequency) and 2x efficiency cores (clocked @2.3GHz). In addition, the chipset also comes with Adreno 750 GPU, which supports Ray Tracing at the hardware level.
At the moment, the other specifications of iQOO 12 are unknown. However, it is known that this series would consist of two models: Standard and Pro model.
A few days before, the live images of the iQOO 12 series were also revealed in which it was revealed that the camera module design is updated, and now it features a large square-shaped module that has rounded edges. Moreover, the display on the standard model is a flat panel, while the display on the Pro model is an edged panel.
In the coming days, iQOO is expected to reveal more aspects of the iQOO 12 series before the official launch date.
