Redmi K70 Series Got 3C Certification with 90W, and 120W Charging

As Qualcomm is about to introduce its next-generation chipset, all the smartphone manufacturers are now working on their new flagship models. Recently, Xiaomi announced its all-new Xiaomi 14 series, and now it seems that its sub-brand (Redmi) is also looking forward to releasing new flagship models.

This morning, some new models from Redmi got listed on the 3C Certification site, which belongs to Redmi’s upcoming K70 flagship series, as per sources. Starting from the base model, this model is named Redmi K70E, carries the model number “23117RK66C” and supports charging in the following modes: 15W (5V/3A), 27W (9V/3A), 66W (11V/6A), and 120W (20V/6A). This model uses the Redmi’s 120W GaN charger (MDY-14-ED) that was also equipped in predecessor models.

Next, we have the Redmi K70 Pro; it carries the model number “23113RKC6C” and has the same charging specifications as the Redmi K70E. At last, we have the standard Redmi K70, which has the model number “2311DRK48C.” This model uses the Redmi 90W GaN charger (MDY-14-EC) and supports charging at following modes: 15W (5V/3A), 10.8-15W (3.6V-5V, 3A) and 30.5-90W (5V-20V, 6.1-4.5A).

Compared with last year’s models, the standard model is upgraded from 67W to 90W, and the E model got upgraded from 67W to 120W while the Pro model is still stuck to 120W charging.

At the moment, the information regarding the entire Redmi K70 series is minimal. However, it is known that the Pro model would be powered by Qualcomm’s new chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen3.

The chipset would now use the all-new 1+5+2 core architecture, which consists of 1x Cortex-X4 Ultra Core, 5x Cortex-A720 P-Cores (3x with higher frequency and 2x with lower frequency) and 2x Cortex-A520 E-Cores.

In the coming days, more information regarding the Redmi K70 series is expected to be revealed. It is also anticipated that Redmi will make an official announcement soon regarding the launch of the Redmi K70 series.
