It was reported that iQOO is very near to bring the all-new iQOO 8 series for a long time. This morning, the company has officially announced a new product launch conference on August 17 at 7:30 PM (Chinese Timing), in which the new flagship series, iQOO 8, will be released.
The announcement poster didn’t reveal anything more except the launch date.
As previously reported, the new iQOO 8 will feature Samsung’s E5 (single punch-hole) screen for the first time in the industry. The display is further expected to reach a 2K resolution (around 3200*1440p) and will also support a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, natively up to 10bit color, using the COP package.
It will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888+. The chipset is the same as the standard Snapdragon 888. The main upgrade is only the frequency of Cortex-X1 Super-Core’s frequency, which has been increased from 2.84GHz to 3GHz. We can expect that the extreme performance output will be even better.
In addition to Snapdragon 888+, the iQOO 8 will also support 12GB RAM with 4GB memory expansion. The phone also has a primary camera with an outsole and a high-power periscope lens. The front camera is placed in the single punch-hole. The support for wireless charging is also there.
In terms of software, the iQOO 8 uses the all-new OriginOS, based on Android 11.
