In October 2022, iQOO launched the iQOO Neo7 with the Dimensity 9000+ chipset in the Chinese market. According to sources, iQOO is preparing to release a successor to this phone.
This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed that the iQOO Neo8 series will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, a high-frequency version of the Dimensity 9200.
The Dimensity 9200 is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and has one 3.05 GHz Cortex-X3 super core, three 2.85 GHz Cortex-A715 cores, and four 1.8 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. Its GPU is Arm Immortalis-G715.
In addition to the Dimensity 9200 chipset, the iQOO Neo8 series will also come with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The high-end variant will have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Like its predecessor, the Neo8 series is expected to include the following devices: Neo8 SE, Neo8, and Neo8 Racing Edition.
The release date for the Neo8 series has not been announced yet, but it is expected to launch before the second half of this year.
