In October 2022, iQOO introduced its iQOO Neo7 in the Chinese market, which was powered by Dimensity 9000+ chipset. The chipset was the best option from Mediatek at that time. However, according to sources, the company seems to be looking forward to launching the next-generation model.
This morning, the famous blogger @Digital Chat Station revealed that the all-new iQOO Neo8 series will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, the high-frequency version of the standard Dimensity 9200 flagship chipset from MediaTek.
In terms of specifications, the standard Dimensity 9200 is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X3 Ultra Core (@3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A715 Performance Cores (2.85GHz) and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores (@1.8GHz). The GPU is Arm Immortalis-G715.
In addition to Dimensity 9200+ chipset, the iQOO Neo8 series will also feature LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage combo, which is the best you can get in the smartphone industry. Further, the high-end variant will have 16GB of RAM and 512 Gigs of Storage.
It is expected that the iQOO Neo8 series will include the following devices like its predecessor series: iQOO Neo8 SE, iQOO Neo8 standard model, and iQOO Neo8 Racing Edition (might use Snapdragon 8 Gen2).
At the moment, there is no news regarding the launch of the iQOO Neo8 series. However, we can expect the launch before the 2nd half of this year.
