We all know that iQOO is all set to release its iQOO Z8 series in tomorrow’s launch event, which will happen at 7 PM (as per Chinese timing). However, the company is still releasing the major teasers of its upcoming models. And recently, we got a look at another one.
This morning, iQOO (on Weibo) officially revealed that the iQOO Z8x will be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset. In addition, the chipset has also scored more than 600,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, which seems a perfect score in the mid-range category.
Regarding specifications, the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 is based on a 4nm manufacturing process (from Samsung). It would feature the following cores: 4x Cortex-A78 P-Cores (@2.2GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 Energy-Efficient Cores (@1.8 GHz). The GPU is Adreno 710, while the network modem is Snapdragon X62 5G.
The officials also mentioned that they optimized the chipset and increased CPU performance by 25% and GPU performance by 30%. In addition, the officials also revealed that this model would be equipped with a large 6000mAh battery, which can provide a battery backup for watching short videos (like on TikTok) for up to 20 hours and reading (browsing) for up to 32 hours.
Regarding the other specifications, the iQOO Z8x is rumored to feature a 6.64-inch single punch-hole LCD Display that would support Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Inside the punch-hole, there would be an 8MP lens. While on the backside, it would feature a dual 50MP+2MP camera setup.
The charging power of this model would be limited to 44W instead of 120W (as in standard iQOO Z8). Due to LCD Display, the iQOO Z8x won’t feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The standard model, iQOO Z8, will be powered by Dimensity 8200 (sub-flagship category) chipset. It would have almost similar display specifications as in iQOO Z8x. However, the camera and battery specifications are different.
iQOO will launch its iQOO Z8 series on August 31 (tomorrow).
