Asus ZenFone 6 Disassembly

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble Asus ZenFone 6 to remove and replace the back cover, battery, camera, speaker and motherboard.

Asus ZenFone 6’s battery is non-removable, but the back cover can be removed.

Asus ZenFone 6’s SIM card slot and Micro SD card slot are fixed on the battery.

Due to slot design, may be replaced the battery will not very conveniently.

Here is the speaker.

This is the bottom of the phone. You can see ZenFone 6 USB port.

ZenFone 6 cable layout is quite reasonable.

Remove thirteen screws and remove the middle frame. You can get access to the internal components.

Disconnect the power cable from the motherboard and remove the battery.

There is a metal plate on the battery. ZenFone 6’s card slot fixed on the metal plate.

Remove three screws securing the motherboard.
Disconnect remain cables. The motherboard can be removed.

Front camera and rear camera

SK Hynix 8GB ROM

SK Hynix 1GB RAM

3.5mm Headphone jack welded on the motherboard.
