Today, Meizu has officially confirmed the chipset and some other related things about the upcoming Meizu 18 series on their official Weibo account.
As per officials, the Meizu 18 Pro will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. In addition to that, the UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM have also been confirmed to come with it.
In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. The chipset features a 1x Cortex-X1 core (2.84GHz) for the first time. It also features 3x Cortex-A78 cores (2.42GHz), and 4x Cortex-A55 cores (1.8GHz).
In addition to that, the Meizu 18 series is also confirmed to come with OneMind 8XX. As per reports, the OneMind 8XX seems to be software that might be used to optimize the battery and performance of the phone.
As previously reported, the Meizu 18 Pro is confirmed to feature a QHD+ (2K) display with a single center punch-hole. The display size of both versions (standard and pro) will be 6.2 inches.
In terms of chipsets, the Meizu 18 is also confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, an upgraded version of Snapdragon 865 with a maximum frequency of 3.2GHz.
The Meizu 18 will feature a Triple camera setup (64MP+12MP+5MP), while the Pro version’s camera specs are unknown.
The Meizu 18 series is set to be launched on March 3.
