Meizu 6T Teardown

On May 29, Meizu held a launch event to introduce the Meizu 6T. As an affordable entry-level full-screen smartphone, the Meizu 6T has an impressive design and features a dual-camera setup. How about its workmanship? Today, we will take apart the Meizu 6T to explore its internal design and level of craftsmanship.

First, remove the SIM card tray. This smartphone supports dual SIM dual standby and SD card storage expansion.

Next, unscrew the two screws near the USB port. Because of the PC material and latch design, the back cover of the phone can be easily separated from the body using a pick.

After removing the back cover, the internal structure of the phone and the fingerprint recognition module on the back cover are clearly visible.

It is the first time that Meizu has applied a rear fingerprint reader to the Meizu 6T. There is a hole on the back cover, and the fingerprint reader is connected to the motherboard via a cable.

This phone adopts a classic three-section internal structure design. The motherboard is located at the top, the battery in the middle, and the small circuit board at the bottom. This type of internal design has been widely used in many smartphones.

The small circuit board at the bottom is covered with a plastic panel, and the external speaker is integrated into the plastic panel.

The small circuit board integrates a USB port, antenna port, and other components.

The headphone jack and other small components are all placed on the small circuit board. The phone comes with a 3300mAh battery and supports 5V 1.5A fast charging. The plastic cover is placed on the motherboard. Such a design is rare.

After removing the plastic cover, the motherboard becomes clearly visible. The plastic cover is relatively rare in smartphones, and it is speculated that its function is to protect the motherboard.

The motherboard has a classic construction and can be easily removed. After removing the motherboard, we can see the middle frame, which is made of metal. The motherboard of this phone is compact and made of high-quality materials.

There is a graphite sticker on the metal shield on the back of the motherboard in the CPU area. This allows heat to be efficiently conducted to the middle frame.

After removing the metal shield, we found thermal grease applied to the CPU. The thermal grease helps with CPU heat dissipation. After removing the thermal paste, the CPU and memory chips become visible.

This smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 processor. For users looking to buy an entry-level smartphone, the MediaTek MT6750 processor can deliver excellent performance. In addition, this processor is optimized for the Flyme system, providing a smooth operating experience for the phone.

This phone uses Samsung memory chips and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space.

This smartphone features an 8MP front camera for selfies and a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP lens and a 2MP lens, which is expected to deliver excellent photography performance.

We found that the Meizu 6T has excellent workmanship and uses high-quality materials. In addition, it is priced at CNY 799 ($123). This smartphone undoubtedly offers outstanding value for money with its full-screen design and dual-camera setup.
