It is rumored that Xiaomi plans to launch the top-of-the-line version in its Xiaomi 12 series (Xiaomi 12 Ultra) for a long time. But until yet, we have seen no official development. However, the leaks regarding the expected model are getting revealed continuously. Recently, we got a look at the latest leaks.
Yesterday, it was reported that the expected Xiaomi 12 Ultra had been listed on the Xianyu site (a Chinese E-Commerce site famous for selling and buying used goods, like eBay). The listing has revealed the live image of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra from the backside, through which different things regarding the phone can be observed, especially the camera.
As can be seen, there are seven modules, including some camera lenses, Lidar sensors, and a flashlight. Moreover, the Leica logo is also mentioned, denoting that the camera has been designed in collaboration with this company. Further, the support for 120x zoom is also mentioned.
It is also worth mentioning that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra’s protective image also got leaked, through which we came to know that there would be seven modules in the camera circle.
As per previous reports, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a 6.73 inches AMOLED Display with 2K+ (3200*1440p) resolution, LTPO 2.0 Technology, and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for saving battery life. The model would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus chipset, which is now based on TSMC 4nm manufacturing process. The specs of the chipset would remain the same, but the Cortex-X2 Super core will now have a higher frequency.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature three camera lenses, including a 50MP Sony IMX 989 lens, a 48MP Ultra-Wide lens, and a 48MP Periscopic Telephoto lens (which supports a higher zooming level). There would be a 48MP lens on the front side, which might be the highest in the smartphone’s history. Further, rumors also claim that this model might feature the Surging C2 ISP (the company’s self-developed chip) for an advanced image capturing experience.
It is expected that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be launched next month (June 2022).
