Earlier this year, MediaTek unveiled two new chipsets: the Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200. The performance of both SoCs wasn’t too excellent when compared with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. But now, new leaks suggest that MediaTek is working on a product that can beat all chipsets.
This afternoon, the famous Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station revealed a significant development. According to the blogger, a new Vivo device with model number V2184 has been listed in the AnTuTu benchmark. The device is equipped with a MediaTek MT6983 SoC.
Surprisingly, this chipset broke all previous records, scoring over a million points (1002220). The blogger claims that this should be the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset.
It is worth mentioning that the scores in the picture are anomalies, so there’s a chance that the scores on the retail units could be lower.
The V2184 could belong to a mysterious smartphone series from the company, as no flagship device is expected to feature this chipset yet. Two months ago, the company launched the vivo X70 series.
The Red Magic 6 is the highest-scoring device on AnTuTu with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, scoring around 850,000 points.
