At the beginning of this year, MediaTek launched its two new flagship series chipset: Dimensity 1100 (sub-flagship) and Dimensity 1200. The performance of both SoCs wasn’t too excellent when compared with Snapdragon 888 series chipset. But now, the new leaks revealed that MediaTek is working on something that will beat all the chipsets.
This afternoon, the famous Chinese blogger @DigitalChatStation has revealed a significant development. As per the blogger, a new device from Vivo having a model number “V2184” has been listed on AnTuTu Benchmark, and the device is equipped with Mediatek’s unknown chipset “MT6983.”
Surprisingly, the chipset has broken all the previous records and scored more than a million points (1002220 points). The blogger also said that this would be a new flagship chipset from Mediatek. Our reports say this chipset would be the Dimensity 2000 chipset (already in leaks and rumors).
It is worth mentioning that the image (mentioned above) stated that the scores are abnormal, so there are still chances that the actual retail machine’s score would be lower.
The new model V2184 from Vivo might belong to a mysterious smartphone series of the company as no flagship device is expected to feature this chipset at the moment. Recently, two months before, the company introduced its flagship Vivo X70 series.
At present, Red Magic 6 is the highest scoring device on AnTuTu, which is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset and has scored around 850k points.
