This morning, NIO announced that the NIO EC6 will be launched on September 15. This EV will be a smart electric coupe SUV.
The NIO EC6 was also listed on the MIIT certification, revealing the car’s dimensions and tire sizes. The dimensions of the EC6 are 4,849 x 1,995 x 1,697 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm. It is available in two tire size options: 265/45R21 and 255/50R20. According to NIO, the electric car has a top speed of 200 km/h.
The NIO EC6 is available in two motor models: YS150S001 and TZ210S001, with power ratings of 150 kW and 210 kW, respectively.
Several automotive bloggers have unveiled spy photos showcasing the appearance of the NIO EC6. The new car retains the sleek coupe SUV stance found in the EC5, with a body profile more similar to its ET5 sedan.
Compared to the NIO EC7, the EC6 looks shorter and more compact, with a lower overall body stance. However, it retains key elements of NIO’s signature design, including the iconic long daytime running lights, straight-through taillights, and unique roof lidar and camera, leaving none of these iconic features.
The internals of NIO EC6 have not been officially disclosed; It is not expected to be significantly different from other models built on the NT2.0 platform. The general cockpit layout is expected to be consistent with the new NIO ES6.
