Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro is Officially Confirmed to be Launched on December 26

In the past few weeks, the upcoming gaming smartphone Red Magic 8 Pro was listed on several certification sites, revealing that it would be the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 powered gaming phone. However, after getting leaked through certification, the company has finally made it official.

This morning, Nubia (on its official Weibo account) announced that the all-new Red Magic 8 Pro would be released on December 26 at 3 PM (as per Chinese Timing). In the official gaming poster, there is no information mentioned regarding the device. But thanks to certifications, which have already revealed each and every aspect of the device.

As per certifications, the new Red Magic 8 Pro will feature a 6.8 inches flat OLED display, which has a higher resolution of Full-HD+ (2480×1116) and will also support a higher refresh rate. It would also feature an under-display 16MP lens instead of any notch or punch-hole.

The phone adopts a transparent black glass design through which you can see the chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen2) and other components like cooling fans and other parts of the heat dissipation system. The phone’s body has the following dimensions: 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9mm, and it weighs around 228g.

The Red Magic 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset based on TSMC’s new 4nm manufacturing process and has an entire new core architecture, including a 1x Super Cortex-X3 Core, 2x Cortex-A715 and 2x Cortex-A710 P-Cores and 3x Cortex-A510 E-Cores.

On backside, we have a triple camera setup which includes a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth lens. In terms of battery, there would be two options: one with 5000mAh and the second with 6000mAh, both of them will support 165W fast charging.

In the coming days, it is expected that Nubia will start releasing the significant highlights of its Red Magic 8 Pro, the first Snapdragon 8 Gen2 powered gaming phone.
