A few months before, in February 2023, OnePlus introduced its OnePlus Ace 2, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ chipset and comes with sub-flagship specifications. However, as per the latest leaks and rumors, the company seems to be working on the Pro model of the OnePlus Ace 2.
This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation (on Weibo) revealed some information regarding the upcoming OnePlus Ace2 Pro. As said by the blogger, the forthcoming model will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is the best you can get from Qualcomm.
The chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and comes with 1+4+3 core architecture (different from previous generation SoC). The chipset features the Cortex-X3 Ultra Core (clocked @3.36GHz), the X70 5G modem, and Adreno 740 GPU (@680MHz).
In addition to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the OnePlus Ace2 Pro will feature an ultra-narrow display with curved edges and 1.5K resolution support. The blogger also said that this domestic screen seems to have something new and is being tested by BOE (Chinese Display Manufacturing Company).
As per some sources, many of the specifications in the OnePlus Ace2 Pro, like camera and battery capacity, are expected to be the same as in the standard model.
It is worth mentioning that the standard OnePlus Ace 2 features a 6.7 inches Centered Punch-Hole AMOLED Display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. In terms of camera, it comes with a 50MP+8MP+2MP camera setup. On the front side, it has a single 16MP camera lens. In terms of battery, it is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging.
Currently, the OnePlus Ace2 Pro is expected to be launched between 3rd quarter and 4th quarter of 2023.
