iQOO Neo8 Series Officially Confirmed to Launch on May 23

For a long time, it was expected that iQOO would soon launch its iQOO Neo8 series. However, until now, no official launch date has been revealed; only some basic specifications were known. But finally, the officials have solved this query by officially announcing the launch date this morning.

Recently, iQOO (on Weibo) has officially announced that the all-new iQOO Neo8 series will be launched on May 23 at 7 PM (Chinese Timing). In the official announcement, the officials have also mentioned a teaser in which the appearance of the Pro model can be appropriately judged.

Before discussing this, it is worth mentioning that the iQOO Neo8 series will consist of two models: the standard and the Pro model. The standard model is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. In contrast, the Pro model is officially confirmed (through the announcement) to feature the all-new Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which was revealed yesterday.

In terms of appearance, it can be seen that the iQOO Neo8 Pro will feature a textured leather backside with red color that was exclusive in the Vivo X90 series and Vivo X Fold2. Moreover, there is a rectangle-shaped camera module with a carbon fiber design and a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is expected to be Sony’s IMX866V 50MP lens, customized by Vivo which would also support OIS.

Under the camera module, we have Neo branding. The official teaser also revealed that the Pro version will be equipped with the Vivo V1+ ISP chip.

As per leaks and rumors, it is reported that iQOO Neo8 Pro will feature a 6.78 inches Single Punch-Hole AMOLED Display that supports 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the display would also be equipped with an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and the punch-hole would consist of a 16MP lens.

As mentioned before, the Pro model will be powered by Dimensity 9200+ chipset, an overclocked version of the standard Dimensity 9200. The chipset is based on the same TSMC 4nm manufacturing process and has the same core architecture but with higher core frequencies.

In the coming days, iQOO is expected to reveal the significant highlights of its iQOO Neo8 series until the launch date (i.e., May 23).
