Today, the General Manager of Redmi (Lu Weibing) has revealed that the upcoming Redmi K40 series will not only be a true flagship, but it will also be a gaming flagship phone.
As per configurations (revealed by General Manager), the all-new Redmi K40 series will feature one of the industry’s best displays: Samsung’s E4 AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of performance, it comes with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is also the best chipset in Android phones.
It also features the Dolby Atmos sound and has dual Hi-Res gold standard certification, providing a better audio and video experience. While talking about the performance, Lu Weibing mentioned that the game optimization is temporarily confidential; it will be announced at tomorrow’s event.
The officials have also revealed that the company will also launch its own exclusive customized gaming accessories. It is also mentioned that [Big Devil’s Shoulder Keys] are specially designed for first-person shooting games.
The all-new Big Devil’s Shoulder Key comes with the following highlights (stated by Lu Weibing):
- Separate design, function mapping can be set freely, comparable to handheld control.
- Left and right distances can be adjusted and fully adapted to a variety of hand shapes.

As per previous news, the Redmi K40 series will be launched in two different versions: One with Snapdragon 870 and the other with Snapdragon 888 chipset. Both versions will use a 6.67-inch centered perforated screen.
It will be powered by a 4520mAh high-capacity Battery which further supports 33W fast charging. It is also reported that the Redmi K40 Pro is expected to be equipped with a four-camera solution (108MP primary camera + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP). While on the front side, a front 30MP lens is expected to feature.
The all-new Redmi K40 series will be launched tomorrow.
