Redmi is all-set to introduce its upgraded Redmi K50 series on March 17th. The new series will be launched on coming Thursday along with many new devices like RedmiBook Pro. The company is also continuously revealing the phone’s main highlights, and we just got another highlight recently.
This morning, Redmi has officially announced that the all-new Dimensity 9000 powered Redmi K50 will be packed with a larger 5000mAh battery in addition to 120W charging support. It is also observed that the company has put a little gap in the battery capacity of both actual and gaming editions.
In another post, the company has also mentioned that the battery can be fully charged in just 19 minutes, thanks to “Climbing Technology.”
It is worth mentioning that this 120W charging solution adopts the new generation single-cell solution of its self-developed “Pengpai P1” charging chip and advanced 4:1 charge pump, through which this level of fast charging can be achieved. Moreover, a deep look at the launch poster also denotes that the device would be equipped with a Type-C port.
As per previous news, the new Redmi K50 series will be available in three versions: Standard, Pro, and High-End/Pro+/Ultra. The top-line variant will be powered by the all-new Dimensity 9000 processor and features the Samsung 2K AMOLED Flexible Straight Display.
In addition, the other two models will feature lower chipsets than Dimensity 9000, i.e., Dimensity 8100 (in Pro version) and Snapdragon 870 (in the base model). However, the display or any other significant specifications of both devices are not confirmed at the moment.
