The ThinkPad T490 was released in April 2019. It is equipped with Intel's eighth-generation Whiskey Lake architecture processor. It can last for more than 10 hours, support 65W fast charge, and can be filled with 80% of electricity in 1 hour, and the PowerBridge dual battery design is sacrificed. Although the built-in battery capacity is slightly increased to 50Wh, it could not expand to the total and 96Wh through the external battery. Overall, the difference between the ThinkPad T490 and the ThinkPad T490s has narrowed, unlike the previous generation, which has a clear functional grade division.
