This morning, the famous Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station shared a significant development from TCL. The company is now working on its first foldable phone, and the blogger revealed images of its testing prototype machine.
In the images, this TCL foldable phone has a vertical folding solution. As the blogger said, the primary display has a screen size of 6.67 inches, while a 1.1-inch secondary screen is placed under the dual camera lenses on the back.
The blogger further reveals that the prototype of this TCL foldable phone is almost complete, which means that the retail version we will get is not much different. The manufacturer of this punch-hole foldable display is CSOT, and its quality also seems excellent. The expected price is around CNY 5000
This vertical foldable phone is almost the same as the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, which was launched last month at a price tag of $1000. As the expected price of TCL’s foldable is around $775, we can conclude that it might give tough competition to Galaxy Z Flip3 sales in the Chinese market.
The internal specifications of this foldable phone haven’t been revealed yet. We can expect them in the coming days.
