For a long time, it has been expected that Vivo will release its Vivo S17 series very soon. Until now, there has been no launch date or news from the official site. However, recently, we looked at a very major leak from which we can expect that the actual launch isn’t that far.
This morning, the blogger @WHYLAB (on Weibo) revealed the official renders, live image, and some basic specification information of Vivo S17e (the basic variant in the Vivo S17 series) through which the appearance of the device and some of its aspects can be observed.
As can be seen, the basic model in the Vivo S17 series (Vivo S17e) now features a single centered punch-hole curved edges screen instead of a straight flat panel (in previous generation models). On the backside, we have a dual camera setup with an LED Flash in a rectangle-shaped camera module.
The all-new Vivo S17e is reportedly powered by the Dimensity 7200 SoC. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 2nd Generation 4nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 2x Cortex-A715 P-Cores (clocked @2.8GHz) and 6x Cortex-A510 E-Cores (clocked @2.0GHz). The GPU is Mali-G610 MC4.
In the live image, it can be seen that the highest storage variant is 12+256GB. The official renders also mention that the Vivo S17e has a thickness of 7.4mm, the body color is Soft Halo which was also available in the previous generation model, and the starting price is around $360.
It is worth mentioning that previously Vivo S17e was also listed on 3C Certification, through which iet was revealed that the device would support 80W fast charging (20V/4A or 11V/7.3A).
At the moment, the specification info regarding Vivo S17e is relatively minimal, while the launch date is also unknown.
