According to some sources, in this already announced postponement of the launch event, Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. We all know that Xiaomi likes to develop many members in the same model, for example, the Xiaomi 12 series includes 8 members. The model name with the Lite has always been considered a simplified model, which usually comes with a downgraded chipset and core configuration, and this model has been the mainstay of sales.
Today we found a new member of the Xiaomi 13 series in the Google Play Console – the Xiaomi 13 Lite, which is not the first time it has been spotted, as it has already appeared in the IMEI database with model number 2210129SG. The Google Play Console listing reveals some key specs of the device and renders.
According to the Google Play Console listing, the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be powered by a processor codenamed QTI SM7450 (unknown, it has significantly different specifications than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which could be a Soc that has not yet been launched). The chipset is a mid-range 5G chip. It comes with 4x Qualcomm Kryo 770 cores at 2.4GHz, and 4x Qualcomm Kryo 770 cores at 1.8GHz, it also integrates Qualcomm Adreno 644 GPU. The Xiaomi 13 Lite will come with 8GB of RAM and run Android 12 out of the box.
The renders on the Google Play Console show that the Xiaomi 13 Lite comes with a hole-punch screen, there is a hole-punch in the top center of the screen for the front camera, The screen will have a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. the pixel density is 440ppi. There is a rectangular Triple camera module on the back of the body.
The listing doesn’t reveal any more information about this device, and according to Xiaomi’s habit, the Xiaomi 13 Lite could launch in the first half of 2023.
