This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed the main specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. The blogger has already seen a prototype of the device, and the phone will feature a foldable screen with a waterdrop hinge. At the same time, the device has a curved glass body and is still thin and light.
The foldable phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The chipset is manufactured using TSMC’s 2nd-generation 4nm process and features a 3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 super core, a Snapdragon X70 modem, and an Adreno 740 GPU.
The phone features a quad-camera setup with a 5x periscope telephoto lens and also supports 3.2x portrait center focus. It is worth mentioning that this is Xiaomi’s first device to feature a periscope lens.
Compared to previous telephoto lenses, its biggest advantage is that it allows the phone to capture distant scenes and provides better optical zoom performance. The blogger also revealed that the phone will support 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Currently, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to debut in August. In the same month, Samsung is also expected to launch its new foldable series.
